2nd ANNUAL “PROJECT SAVE OUR STREETS” EVENT RALLIES COMMUNITYWIDE SUPPORT TO REDUCE TRAFFIC FATALITIES IN 2012Farmers Insurance Hawaii employees joined the Honolulu Police Department and the downtown community at the second annual “Project Save Our Streets” event this morning at the corner of King and Bishop Streets in downtown Honolulu. KEAAU ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RALLY FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY IN FRONT OF SCHOOL Armed with homemade signs and messages to drivers to slow down for students walking to school, more than 50 students and teachers from Keaau Elementary School held a traffic safety rally in front of the school this morning. The event was part of the Farmers Insurance Hawaii Hot Spots traffic safety program. Armed with homemade signs reminding drivers to slow down and pay attention while driving, more than 60 students and teachers from Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School held a traffic safety rally in front of the school this morning. The event was part of the Farmers Insurance Hawaii Hot Spots traffic safety program.The students and teachers were joined by Kauai Police Department officers and Farmers Insurance Hawaii employees from Kauai and Honolulu to alert morning commuters to the traffic dangers near the school.
